![]() WHAT WE DO: Saint Philip parish is currently participating in the diocese wide Disciples In Mission program. During 1997-1998 our diocese was one of only nine throughout the country piloting this program. Disciples In Mission is a process that integrates the Sunday liturgies, small faith-sharing groups, catechizes, family activities, planning, and follow-up activities into a coherent parish-wide experience. The ultimate goal is to strengthen the faith of the individual as well as that of the parish. The founding Disciples In Mission Leadership Team was composed of nine parishioners. These members were:
These nine members attended various workshops and meetings to determine how they could successfully involve all the members of St. Philip's parish community. The 1997-1998 program chose as their primary core program the formation of small faith-sharing groups which met during the 1998 Lenten season. This program culminated with a parish dinner which celebrated the success of the program as well as provide an opportunity for participants to offers suggestions on ideas for faith building they would like to see implemented.
